- Restorative Yoga is open and welcoming to all as the postures are done at floor level, using the props as support for the body. Once the posture is set up with the bolster or block in place all the student need do is breathe and relax. Various options and poses are explored during this session with the focus being to allow the physical body to release all tensions and tightness, and let the props do the work.
- All props provided but you are welcome to bring your own if you have them.
Alison’s own Yoga story started over 20 years ago with a chance Yoga session at the local gym. As a young Mum of two she was feeling the usual stresses and exhaustion. When the lovely yoga teacher said the words “now Exhale”, Alison knew she had found her passion. That A-ha moment of release was the time of her connection with Yoga. That feeling has stayed with her and she now loves to share that experience with her students.
Alison trained in Vinyasa in 2013 with Being Yoga in Maroochydore. She has continued her training with various workshops at Radiant Light Yoga and more recently completed the 30hr Restorative Yoga Teacher Training with Lizzie Lasater.
Alison’s classes reflect these different styles and teachings, alignment based with heart centred gentleness and compassion. Alison loves to see her students modify the postures for their own bodies, and offers variations to suit most practitioners. Whether it’s a flowing Vinyasa class or the bliss of a Restorative yoga practice, Alison has a caring and inclusive approach to teaching Yoga.
Please join Alison Wood for these very healing sessions.
